Kilkeaveragh, Lateeve, Co. Kerry | August 14–16, 2026
Ladies, it’s time to return to your roots. Quite literally.
Forget the high heels, the endless notifications, and the pressure to be perfect. We invite you to an exclusive, intimate “art camp for adults” in one of Ireland’s most mystical and wild corners – Portmagee.
This is no ordinary workshop. This is a safe space where you can unapologetically get your hands dirty with clay, weave intentions from branches, and paint with the wind in the shadow of the legendary Skellig Islands. Here, luxury means silence, human connection, and the freedom to create without judgement.

WHY KILKEAVERAGH AND PORTMAGEE? Discover the Magic of the Place
Our base in Kilkeaveragh is nestled right in the heart of the Wild Atlantic Way in southwest Ireland. Portmagee is a charming, traditional fishing village straight out of a postcard – it even won the official title of Ireland’s Best Tourism Town in 2012. Sitting at the foot of towering mountains, it looks directly out at the mystical Valentia Island.
Here is why this place will captivate you at first sight:
- The Spirit of Pirates and Bold Bridget: Portmagee owes its name to an 18th-century smuggler and Jacobite captain, Theobald Magee. In the early 1700s, these waters were famous not for fishing, but for illegal, highly lucrative trade with France and Portugal. When Captain Magee passed away in a monastery in Lisbon, his wife, “bold Bridget,” didn’t waste much time mourning—she swiftly took over the family smuggling business with an iron fist. The spirit of independence and female empowerment still vibrates here!
- The Gateway to Skellig Michael: Every morning from May to September, Portmagee comes alive as boats depart from its harbor toward the legendary Skellig rocks. Skellig Michael is one of only three UNESCO World Heritage sites in all of Ireland. It is an ancient, austere monastic settlement, and in recent years, it served as the filming location for the final two Star Wars movies, drawing magic-seekers from around the globe.
- The Heart of the Skellig Ring: We are located on a route that the iconic Lonely Planet named one of the top 10 regions in the world to visit. Just 3 km from the village lies the breathtaking Coom An Easpaig viewpoint – and we promise we’ll stand there together.
- Valentia Island and the Dawn of Globalisation: Just across the bridge lies the stunning Valentia Island. This is where globalisation was born, thanks to the vision of Cyrus Field – it was from here that the first successful Transatlantic Telegraph Cable was laid, connecting Europe with America. The island also hides unique Tetrapod footprints from millions of years ago and the famous Slate Quarry. Local Valentia slate was used to build icons such as the British Houses of Parliament (Westminster), St. Paul’s Cathedral in London, and the Paris Opera House!
PORTMAGEE & WILD ATLANTIC WAY: The Jewel in Ireland’s Crown
There is no denying the charm and mysticism embedded in the entire Wild Atlantic Way. However, if we had to point to its ultimate “jewel in the crown”, it would undoubtedly be Skellig Michael – an island that encapsulates everything that is magnificent, powerful, and globally unique about the Wild Atlantic.
Our base in Portmagee is the official, main gateway to the Skelligs. This is where the boats set sail every morning, allowing travellers (weather permitting) to land on this monumental rock and unlock its secrets. In the afternoons, eco-cruises depart from the harbour, offering a breathtaking perspective of the islands from ocean level.
The Skellig Coast – Everything in One Place
If you want to experience the essence of the Wild Atlantic Way, you don’t need to travel thousands of miles. The Skellig Coast – stretching from Kells to Castlecove – holds everything beautiful about the Irish landscape.
Since Portmagee is located right in the middle of this pristine region, our atmospheric art base serves as the perfect launching pad to immerse yourself in local magic. From here, the coast’s highlights are right at your fingertips:
- Portmagee – our traditional, colourful fishing village.
- Skellig Rocks – mystical, oceanic crags steeped in history.
- Valentia Island – an island full of unique nature and footsteps of globalisation.
- Ballinskelligs, Cahersiveen & Waterville – legendary towns and beaches soaked in Celtic culture.
- Caherdaniel, Castlecove & Dromid – hidden corners where rugged mountains meet golden sands and turquoise waters.

EXPEDITION TO SKELLIG MICHAEL (Premium Option)
As part of our weekend, we are organising a joint, legendary expedition to Skellig Michael. Together, we will climb the 600 stone steps carved into the rock over a thousand years ago. It is a moment of pure awe at the power of nature and the human spirit.
- Stress-free logistics: We handle the entire booking and organisation (tickets sell out a year in advance!).
- In harmony with nature: Boat trips depend on the whims of the ocean. If nature says “no,” we have an equally thrilling, deeply transformative land-based plan ready.
- Investment: The boat trip is an additional paid option (organisational details will be sent upon booking).
